Montreal's Jewish Neighbourhood of Papineau
 

The Jewish community lived on Papineau Avenue and on relatively few streets to either side of it.
THe neighbourhood was roughly bounded by St Zotique Street on the north and Bellechasse Street on the south.
The map below shows two streets, Cartier and Papineau.




Note: Some names (Teitelbaum, Sorkin) appear more than once on the map. These may refer to
different residences over time for the same family (eg Teitelbaum, Sorkin), or different families
(eg Cohen, Stein). The map will be updated, now that many more families have been heard from.
