Perry Guralnick told me that the Corbers were in the clothing business, that Mr Corber was a chazzan in the shul. 
The kids were Joe, Evelyn and Tzippi who married a Mr Brown. He thinks they lived downstairs from the Barbucci
family on Beaubien.
