Notes: Harry Abramovitch's parents were not Papineau people. They came from
Roumania. Rachel was born in Papineau in 1912. Harry and Rachel lived beside
Joseph and Esther Laferman, who had emigrated from Poland in 1882. We don't know
if they came directly to Papineau.

Who lived in Papineau?
First generation (Laferman), second generation, and at least Joseph in the third.
Rachel Laferman was born there in 1912. If Rachel's parents settled there when they came
to Canada, in 1882 according to Joseph Abramovitch, then they were very early residents.
This is all the more interesting as Rachel stayed there until 1967, being one of the last
residents to leave the area.
